I have had my first generation kindle for well over two years and love it. I would have purchased an iPad if it were the same size as my original kindle, but the iPad is way too large for commuting. It is like the larger Kindle version...no fun if you have to use two hands to read on the train or at a coffee shop...one hand readers are practical and comfortable, so when apple brings out a 6 or 7" iPad I will be the first to buy one:)
